About Commands

Commands is a family-owned Scottish e-commerce fulfilment and direct mail company in Clydebank, Glasgow, and has offered 3PL fulfilment to online businesses since 2005.

From its 31,000 sq ft warehouse it receives stock and picks, packs and ships B2B and direct-to-consumer orders across the UK and abroad, with returns, kitting, subscription boxes and licensed alcohol storage.

Your own stock, Commands and other suppliers in one webshop

Scottish and UK brands often keep their range at Commands, ship a few products themselves and add items that a supplier drop ships. Your customer places one order in one webshop, and nobody on your team has to work out who ships what. Dropday checks every order line against your rules, stores the matching supplier on each line and splits the order, so Commands receives only the products it stores, with the same products and quantities your customer ordered.

More orders, not more order entry

When an order comes in, Dropday passes the products you store at Commands to Commands with your customer's delivery address and the SKU and quantity of each line. Nobody re-enters orders, so a gifting season adds parcels for Commands, not hours of admin for your team.

Your shipments in view

When Commands ships, Dropday brings the tracking back to the original webshop order. You follow your Commands shipments in the same place as the rest of your orders, instead of looking them up or asking the warehouse.

How you get started

You connect Shopify or another supported webshop, keep your account with Commands and tell Dropday which products Commands stores for you. Dropday sets up the orders and tracking, and tests them with you before your first real order goes to Commands.

How the Commands connection works

Commands runs a cloud-based order management system with more than 40 shopping cart integrations, which takes in orders and reports order progress and dispatch back.

Dropday links your webshop to that system for the products Commands stores, and brings the dispatch back to your orders.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Commands customer?

Yes. Commands stores and ships your stock under your own account, and Dropday connects your webshop to it.

Can I stay in control of what goes to Commands?

Yes. You decide with your rules which products go to Commands, and those orders can wait for your review instead of going out automatically when you want to look first.

Do I need a developer?

No. Dropday handles the setup.
