About Route1 Group

Route1 Group is a family-run fulfilment company in Northampton, with a cross-dock in Longhope, Gloucestershire, specialising in 3PL e-commerce fulfilment for oversized, heavy, high-value or fragile items.

It gives clients API access to create orders and check order status, a portal with real-time stock levels, and tracking with proof of delivery and SMS notifications.

Bulky lines at Route1, small items from elsewhere

A retailer of large or fragile products can keep those lines at Route1, ship small items itself and let a supplier send the rest. Dropday routes each order line, so the mix costs you no manual work. Dropday checks every order line against your rules, stores the matching supplier on each line and splits the order, so Route1 receives only the products it stores, with the same products and quantities your customer ordered.

More orders, not more order entry

When an order comes in, Dropday passes the products you store at Route1 to the Northampton warehouse through its API, with your customer's delivery address. Larger orders and more of them mean more deliveries by Route1, not more order entry for you.

Your shipments in view

When Route1 ships, Dropday brings the tracking back to the original webshop order. You follow your Route1 shipments in the same place as the rest of your orders, instead of looking them up or asking the warehouse.

How you get started

You connect Shopify or another supported webshop, keep your account with Route1 Group and tell Dropday which products Route1 stores for you. Dropday sets up the orders and tracking, and tests them with you before your first real order goes to Route1.

How the Route1 connection works

Route1 gives clients API access to create new orders and check the current order status, plus tracking with proof of delivery and SMS notifications.

Dropday connects your webshop to Route1's API, so orders reach the warehouse without manual entry, and brings the delivery status back to your orders.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Route1 Group customer?

Yes. Route1 stores and ships your stock under your own account, and Dropday connects your webshop to it.

Can I stay in control of what goes to Route1?

Yes. You decide with your rules which products go to Route1, and those orders can wait for your review instead of going out automatically when you want to look first.

Do I need a developer?

No. Dropday handles the setup.
