Add shipment tracking as a supplier or 3PL
As a supplier or fulfilment partner, mark an order from a merchant as shipped in Dropday and add its tracking code or tracking link. The merchant then sees the shipment and the tracking link on the order.
Once you've shipped the package, mark the order as shipped in one of two places: on the order page you open from the link in the order email, or in the Supplier Portal. A tracking code isn't required. Check the code or link before you save it: once it's saved you can't change it, and you can't undo the shipped status.
From the order email
In the order email from Dropday, open the personal link to the order page. You don't need to log in.
If you have a tracking code or the carrier's tracking link, enter it under Add tracking information (optional), in the box Tracking number or tracking link.
Click Mark as shipped.
Orders you receive as a file or an API call come without this link. Mark those as shipped in the Supplier Portal.
In the Supplier Portal
Log in with the Log in button on the Dropday website. If your login only belongs to a supplier account, Dropday opens the Supplier Portal. If you also work in a merchant account, switch to the portal from the menu.
On the Orders tab, find the order. The list has every order sent to you, by email, as a file or as an API call. To narrow it, filter on the merchant, on open orders or on the order ID.
Open the order. Enter the tracking code or link if you have one, and click Mark as shipped. The order works the same way as the order page from the email.
Tracking code or tracking link
You can enter either one. When you enter a carrier's tracking link, Dropday derives the tracking code from it as well as it can. When you enter only a tracking code, Dropday creates a tracking link from it.
Add tracking later
If you marked an order as shipped without tracking, you can add it once, on the order page from the email or in the Supplier Portal. The order still shows Add tracking information (optional), and the button now reads Add tracking. After a code or link is saved, the order shows Track shipment instead.
What the merchant sees
The order lines of that order get the status shipped. On the order in Dropday, the merchant sees that you shipped it and when, with a clickable tracking link if you entered one.
The tracking is what you enter: Dropday doesn't create shipping labels and doesn't fetch the tracking status from the carrier.
Shipped, with or without tracking, is the only status you report back. You can't accept, reject or backorder an order in Dropday.
