Connect an email account

Connect your Gmail, SMTP or Brevo account so that the order emails to a supplier are sent through it instead of through Dropday's own mail service.

Connect your account

  1. In the sidebar, under Preferences, click Email Accounts.

  2. Click Connect New Account.

  3. Under "Choose your email provider", choose Gmail, SMTP or Brevo, and connect the account:

    • Gmail: sign in to your Google account and give Dropday access.

    • SMTP: in "Add SMTP Email Account", fill in your mail server's settings, choose the encryption (TLS, SSL or none) and click Save Account.

    • Brevo: in "Add Brevo Email Account", fill in your Brevo settings and click Save Account.

Use the account for a supplier

In the supplier's Send Email action, choose the account in Send from. It starts at System email (orders@dropday.io); a connected account appears there by its name and email address. Save the action.

If the supplier doesn't have Send Email yet, Send orders by email shows how to set it up.

What changes for your emails

  • The "sent on behalf of" footer becomes a short "Email sent using Dropday" line.

  • With a Gmail account, the email normally also appears in that account's Sent folder.

  • If sending through your account fails, Dropday logs the failure and sends the email through its own mail service instead.

Next, send a test order to check the email: test orders are emailed too, with "TEST EMAIL:" at the start of the subject.
