Resend an order to a supplier
Send an order to a supplier again from the order in Dropday, for example when the supplier didn't receive it or asks for it again.
When you can resend an order
You can resend an order that Dropday already sent to the supplier.
Resending isn't available for:
test orders;
orders still held for review. Approve the order instead: approving sends it through the supplier's delivery methods;
orders with declined order lines.
Resending also doesn't help an order line that never reached the supplier. It sends only the order lines already assigned to that supplier, and Dropday doesn't apply your rules again, so order lines without a rule stay out.
An order line that was skipped because its supplier had no active delivery method can't be sent afterwards either, not even after you add a delivery method.
If an order line didn't reach a supplier, find out why before you change anything.
Resend the order
Go to Orders and open the order. You can filter the order list to find it.
Under Supplier orders, click the supplier's name. This opens that supplier's order, with the order lines assigned to it: these are the lines a resend sends again.
Check the supplier's delivery methods. Dropday uses the delivery methods the supplier has when you resend, not the ones it had at the first send.
At the bottom of the products, click Resend order.
Each supplier under Supplier orders is a separate order, so Resend order only sends the lines of the supplier whose order you opened. To resend to another supplier of the same order, open that supplier's order.
What the supplier receives
Dropday sends the supplier's order lines again through each of the supplier's current delivery methods.
The new send replaces the earlier send to that supplier for this order.
If the supplier opens the order link from an earlier email, they see a page saying that send has been replaced, instead of the order.
A resend sends the same order lines a second time. If the supplier may already have received the earlier send, let them know that the new one replaces it, so the order isn't handled twice.
