An order line was not sent to a supplier

Find out why an order line didn't reach a supplier, and what you can do about it.

An order came in, but one of its order lines didn't reach a supplier. To see why, go to Orders, open the order and expand the product: Rule and Supplier show what Dropday did with that line.

Common causes

  • No rule: the order line matched none of your rules, so it isn't sent to any supplier.

  • The supplier holds orders for review: the line waits until you approve it.

  • The supplier has no active delivery method: Dropday skips that supplier.

  • The order is blocked: it arrived while your account had no active subscription or trial and wasn't billed through Shopify, so nothing was sent.

What you can do

  • Held for review: approve the order to send it through the supplier's delivery methods.

  • No active delivery method: add a delivery method to the supplier so that future orders are sent.

The order line that was skipped can't be sent to the supplier afterwards: adding a delivery method doesn't send it, and resending isn't available for it.

  • Blocked: once your subscription is active again, process the order from the dashboard. Dropday then runs your rules and sends it.

  • No rule: add or change a rule so that future orders match. Dropday doesn't apply rules again to an order line that already arrived, and resending the order to a supplier only resends the lines already assigned to it.

To still send that line, the order has to be deleted through the Dropday API and sent to Dropday again. It then comes in as a new order and all its order lines are processed again, including lines that were already sent, so a supplier may receive them twice.
