Shipment confirmations and tracking
Your supplier reports in Dropday that an order was shipped, with a tracking code or link if they have one. You then see the shipment and the tracking link on the order.
How a supplier reports a shipment
Once the package has been shipped, the supplier sets the order to shipped in Dropday, in one of two places:
the order page they reach through the personal link in the supplier email;
the order page in the Supplier Portal. Invite a supplier to the Supplier Portal explains how a supplier gets access.
A tracking code isn't required: the supplier can mark an order as shipped without one. When the supplier enters a carrier's tracking link, Dropday derives the tracking code from it as well as it can; when they enter only a tracking code, Dropday creates a tracking link from it.
When an order went to several suppliers, each supplier reports its own shipment. Orders with several suppliers explains the split.
What you see in Dropday
On the order, you see that the supplier shipped it and when, with a clickable tracking link if one was entered. The order lines get the status Shipped. Find and read your orders explains the order page.
Dropday also records when the supplier opens the order for the first time, which works as a kind of acknowledgement.
Good to know
A supplier reports the shipment, with or without tracking. Accept, reject or backorder statuses aren't part of it.
The tracking is what the supplier enters: Dropday doesn't create shipping labels or fetch the tracking status from the carrier.
Pass the tracking on to your webshop
To get the tracking into the order in your webshop, an integration of your own can take it from a Dropday webhook and add it there. Send tracking back to your webshop explains how.
